Morten Jenseg Hembre is a committed and approachable naprapath from Stjørdal with a particular focus on the nervous system, joint function and specific joint adjustments. He is keen to look at the whole body – not just the area that hurts – and therefore examines how joints and movement function both locally and as part of the whole.
The treatment consists mainly of specific joint adjustments, with the aim of giving the nervous system a precise and individually adapted stimulus. Morten describes this as training the nervous system.
A central focus of his work is back health and prevention. In the same way that we exercise and are physically active to look after our health, Morten believes it is natural to take care of joint function and movement even before clear complaints have arisen.
He is keen on physical activity and gladly gives simple advice that helps patients stay on the move. More specific exercise and rehabilitation is used primarily for injuries and sports injuries where it is needed.
Morten has long experience with musculoskeletal complaints and sports injuries, and treats patients of all ages – from children and young people to adults and the elderly. He is also medical coordinator and naprapath for Fredrikstad Ballklubb Elite (women's elite handball league), where he follows up players with injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to training and matches.
Diagnostic ultrasound is used when needed as a supplement to the examination, while laser/PBM is used selectively for severe pain and certain sports-related problems.
In treatment, Morten uses:
- Specific joint adjustments / mobilisation
- Ultrasound
- Laser / PBM
- Shockwave therapy
- Exercise / rehabilitation
Outside Behandlerverket his time often goes to padel, strength training and involvement in both children's football and elite handball.
